Uta is the Berlin Marathon (1990, 1992, 1995) and Boston Marathon (1994, 1995, 1996) winner, and only German who won the New York City Marathon (1993). A two-time Olympian and former world record holder in the half marathon, she shares her passion for running and fitness ever since. As a result, she found the Take The Magic Step, LLC (2006) to serve the public with her fitness and health programs. And together with her business partner Michael Reger they established the Take The Magic Step Foundation™ (2008) to improve the lives of underprivileged children and adults who lack education or face poor health or social and environmental challenges.
